And he's also being the dean of admissions at Cornell University, which is an IVY League school. Now, his advice is, if you wanna get into these schools that are very competitive to get into, then you need to forget about grades and test scores. This is because people who have higher grades alone are not more likely to get into any of these schools. So even though grades are important, they are not the most important thing when it comes to getting accepted to these schools. What's actually more important is answering this question, why them? Why do you wanna go to this specific school? This is because the admission officers in these universities want to know what makes you different. And why have you decided to look at their institution as a place for you to Grow, learn, and study. So basically, they wanna know why you've selected them over another school such as Harvard or Yale or Upenn. They wanna know why have you applied to us and what will you be bringing to us?
