US Travel Ban: Why International Students Should Still Apply

If your country was recently placed on the U S. Ban list, but you really wanted to come and study in America, then I believe you should still be applying to schools in America. And there's actually three reasons why I believe this. Now, the first reason why I say this is because policies change, and if there is any cooperation between your government and the United States of America, then your country might actually be taken off the ban list. The second reason is because this can go to court. Many companies and many individuals can file a lawsuit against the U S. Government in order to have a temporary hold on this policy. So this could happen anytime, and we just don't know when it would happen and what the result would be. So, again, you might be able to get your visa as a result. And this actually brings me to point number three. The reason why you should still be applying is because you can defer your admissions, meaning that if you get accepted this year, you can defer your acceptance for next year. So you basically tell the universities that, hey, I can't come this year because I cannot get a visa, but next year I might be able to. So what could happen within that year, again, is your country could be taken off the ban list, and as a result, you'd be able to get your visa.
