US Travel Ban F1 Visa: Smart Strategy for Affected Students

If your country is on the travel ban list but you still wanna come and study in America, then I need you to listen to this. You should still be applying to schools in America even though you might not be able to get a visa. And the reason why I say this is because, number one, many people are no longer applying to schools in America. And what that means is that the competition in order to get into these schools has dropped substantially, meaning that it's going to be easier for you to get accepted into many of these schools. Now, if you do get accepted to these schools and you're still on the travel ban list, meaning that you cannot get a visa in order to come and study, what you can do is actually defer your admissions. And basically what that means is you can tell the school that you will not be able to come this year, but you would like to defer your admission for next year. And basically what that means is you telling the school that you can't come to school this year, you can come to school next year. And what this does is it buys you time. And this is good because it means that if at any time your country is taken off the travel ban list, then you can apply for your visa and get your visa. And that's the key. You can defer your admissions until you're Taken off the travel ban list. Now, of course, it's not guaranteed that your country will be taken off the travel ban list. However, policies have been changing. And the thing about the United States of America right now is that there's lots of change, so sometimes a judge might even be able to temporarily halt the travel ban. Or your country might be communicating with the United States of America and eventually be taken off the travel ban list. So what you wanna do is just give this some time to see if your country can be taken off the travel ban list and you'll be able to come and study in America.
