UBC International Scholars Program: Full Scholarship for Canada

If you wanna come study in Canada but you simply don't have the money or you come from a very poor family, then you need to listen to this. There is a university in Canada that gives full scholarships to international students for their bachelor's degree. And the coolest thing about this scholarship is the university actually looks at your financial need in order to determine how much money you'll need to get so that you can come and study there. In other words, if you come from a very poor family, then they can give you a full scholarship to come and study at their university, which is a value of over $70,000 per year. Now, the name of the university is called the university of British Columbia and it has the International Scholars Program. Now, the process to apply is as follows. The first thing you're going to do is in mid September, you're going to decide on your academic programme and which campus you wanna do it on. Then in late September, you're going to be deciding on who's going to be giving you some letters of recommendations. So in Canada, at this specific university, you are going to need two. One is called a nominator and the other one is called a referrer. So your nominator should be somebody who's able to speak about your educational goals and your character. And this is typically going to be a guidance counsellor, a principal or even an administrator. And your teacher referee is gonna be a former teacher of yours. And they should be familiar with your work ethic and how you are as a student in class. Then in early October, what's going to happen is you're going to be sending them an email where they're going to need to give you their letter of recommendation. Now, this is going to be done all electronically. All you need to do is have their email information. Then your recommenders just have to make sure that they submit their recommendation by November 15th. Now, also during this period, you're going to be filling out an application to the university of British Columbia. And you're also going to have to be gathering some information about your finances and also submitting essays. Now, you need to do all of this by November 15th. This is because the first of December is typically when the deadline is for the scholarship. Then in January, you'll be sending them information about your finances, and in April, you'll be getting notification on whether you gotten the scholarship or not. Now, unfortunately, the applications are closed for this year. However, you need to start preparing your application for next year. So have university of British Columbia as one of these schools you're going to be applying to. Because it takes a little bit of time to gather all the material and to get your reference letters.
