Some people still don't believe me when I say that you can get a full scholarship to come and study in America. Now, what I'm going to do is actually show you how this whole process works. So I am going to be looking at the website of Swarthmore College, which is one of these colleges that I've recommended that you apply to. Because they can give you a full scholarship in order to come and study in America. Now, what Swarthmore College actually says on their website. Is that your financial aid decision for Swarthmore. Will be based on the college's determination of how much financial aid you will need. In order to afford a Swarthmore education. And this is basically called need based financial aid. Now, this is super important. Because what I've been telling you guys is that you wanna be applying to these schools that give full need based financial aid. Meaning that they're going to look at how much money you have. And then they're going to determine how much money they need to give you. And they're going to meet that full need. In other words, if you come from a very poor family, then they could give you a full scholarship to study here. Now, Swarthmore College actually has a perfect example here. Where they say, for example, if our financial aid office determines that you need $60,000 to make Swarthmore more affordable. Then you will receive a financial aid decision equivalent to $60,000. And what they also say is that the average financial aid decision for international students admitted to the class of 2024 was more than $66,000.
