SAT Scores & GPA: When You Need Them for Full USA Scholarships

Study in America for free part 5. Now this is a series where I talk about how you can get a full scholarship in order to come and study in America as an international student. Now what that basically means is if you're currently outside of the United States of America right now, but you want to come and study in America, then this video and series is for you. Now in part 4 I started talking about the S A T. And the standardized tests that you might be required to take. And what I said there is that most schools that give you full scholarships are test optional, meaning that they don't require you to take the S A T. Or the a C T. In order to apply. So that means you don't need to take this standardized test, which is basically going to be testing your English and math skills if you don't want to. Now the only time you should be taking this test is if you have a G P A. That's under a 3.0. If you wondering what a G P A. Is, it's basically how we calculate grades in America. So a 3.0 G. P A. Is a very decent G P A. So if you have a G P A. Of a 3.0 or over then you should be good to apply to most of these schools. Of course, the higher the G P A. You have the better, but it's not required That you have the best G P A. In the world. So what you should do is you should take your current grades that you have from your high school. And put it into CHAT G P T. And ask CHAT G P T. To convert your current grades from your home country into American grades. And what it's going to do is it's going to be able to give you a G P A. For your high school grades in your home country. Now, if your high school grades are over a 3.0 G P A, then you don't need to take the S A T. However, if your G P A. Is calculated to be under a 3.0 G P A, then you need to take the S A T. This is because your grades won't be really high enough to be competitive to get into many of these schools. So what you'd wanna do is actually take the S A T. And you'd wanna make sure you scoring over a 1,350. Now, if you do that, then your high school grades will not matter as much to the admission officers at these schools. So that is what you need to know about the S A T. Now, in the next video, I'm going to be talking about the English proficiency exam. Because many students are concerned about that.
