Mastercard Foundation Scholarship at McGill University 2026

If you are African and you wanna pursue your master's degree in Canada, then you need to listen to this. You can get a full scholarship in order to study in Canada as an international student. And by full scholarship, what I mean is it's going to cover your tuition and fees, your housing, your food, you're even gonna get a stipend. So that is basically money each month. And you're also going to be getting some visa support. So this is truly an amazing scholarship that is designed for African students. It is called the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship at McGill University. Now, in order to be eligible for this scholarship, you must be from an African country and you must have not attended or completed a master's degree. You also need to be at least 35 years or younger and you must have exceptional leadership skills. Now, you also need to have a bachelor's degree in order to apply and you going to be having to pursue one of these degrees at McGill University. So if you meet the eligibility, then you can apply. In order to apply, you're going to need to register and attend one of the five information sessions so that you can receive a link to the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Programme application form. Now once you get that form, you're going to complete it and you're going to be sending that in. Then what's going to happen is the school and the scholarship is going To pre screen you, meaning they're going to look if you qualify and they're gonna see if they potentially interested in giving you the scholarship. Then if they're interested in moving you on to the next step, you will be invited to apply to McGill University and they'll even give you a fee waiver in order to apply. Now all of this usually happens in August, so right now the applications are closed, but they will be opening in August of this year. So you need to start getting your applications ready so that you apply once the applications open.
