This is breaking news on the H1B visa. The new 100,000 dollar rule does not affect international students. Let me explain. Now if you've been following the news lately, you'd know that the Trump administration has imposed a 100 thousand dollar fee on the H1B visa. Meaning that if companies wanna hire people who are not American to come and work at their companies, then they would have to pay this fee. Now initially what many people thought is that this would have affected international students who are studying at American universities. This is because they are foreign nationals who are wanting to work at American companies in America. However, the Trump administration has actually now clarified this. They have said that the fee does not apply when a visa applicant files to move from one type of visa to another, such as from an F1 student visa to an H1B visa. Now this is big because it means that if you want to come and study in America, or if you're already in America, then you will not be affected by this 100 thousand dollar fee.
