So, what if I told you that international students can qualify for a guaranteed scholarship? You probably wouldn't believe me, right? But this is actually the case and it's 100% possible. The secret in all of this is going to be something called Theta Kappa. So, in this video, I am going to be going over how you can get a guaranteed scholarship as an international student. So definitely stay with me as we've got a lot of things to [Music] cover. So most people actually think international students have no access to scholarships, but this is not true. So, I actually came from South Africa to America as an international student and I got a ton of scholarships during my studies in America and I even got a full ride scholarship in order to attend the University of Rochester. So, what I want to do is just share all these secrets with you on this channel. Now, I've already created a video on how you can get a full ride scholarship. It's going to be somewhere up here. So definitely click on it as it's going to give you a lot of insight on how you can get a full ride scholarship or basically a scholarship that pays for all your living expenses and your tuition. Now to get back to our video over here, I want to give you the secret on how you can get a guaranteed scholarship as an international student. So basically the hack in order to do this is that you need to start at a community college. So once you are in community college then you can look to join this honor society called bitheta kappa. Now if you join this honor society it automatically qualifies you for exclusive transfer scholarships when you decide to transfer to a university. Now I've thrown a lot of information at you. So let's actually break this down step by step. The first thing I want to cover exactly is what is fithet kapper? Now, Fthea Kapper is actually an honor society for community college students. I mean, it also has some high school students, but primarily it is an honor society for community college students. Now, again, if you want to understand what a community college is, I have another video that I created which details exactly what a community college is. Now, FTHEA Kapper is actually recognized by over 800 universities in America. So what that means is once you become a member of FTHEA Kapper there are over 800 universities that you could transfer to that would give you a FTHEA Kapper scholarship. Now many of these universities automatically award scholarships to Fthea Kapper students basically and what this means is if you join Fthea Kapper and you transfer to one of those universities then you could get a guaranteed scholarship even as a international student. So the question is how do you become a member of the capper? So, what I'm going to do here is actually go step by step to show you how you can qualify for these scholarships. Now, the first thing you want to do, as I said before, is you want to start at a community college. So, instead of going straight into a 4-year college or university, you will start at a 2-year community college. And this is going to save you money right away because community colleges cost way less than universities. So instead of paying like $40,000 per year, you might pay something around $6 to $8,000 per year for your tuition. But besides the cost-saving aspects, the real reason why you want to go to community college is because it's going to give you access to Fitheta Kappa. And now this brings me on to step number two, which is you need to join FTHEA Kappa while at community college. So once you start at community college, your number one goal is to get a 3.5 GPA or higher because that's the requirement to join FTHEA Kappa. Now the way you're going to join FTHEA Kappa is you have to at least complete 12 to 15 credit hours and then as you complete those credit hours, you want to make sure that you maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher. Once you've done those two things, then you can actually pay a small one-time membership fee, which will be usually around like $100 to join FTHEA Kapper and you become a member for life. Now, once you join Ftheta Kapper, you are going to unlock access to transfer scholarships at hundreds of universities. Now, the big thing here is that you need to research the community college that you're going to. You need to make sure that that community college has a fitheta kappa chapter and if they do then you can attend that community college because the biggest thing of attending community college is you need to make sure you have access to fthea kappa. Now the third step so once you've attended community college and you've joined fthea kapper the third step is for you to transfer to a university with an automatic fthea kapper scholarship. So, after completing your 2 years at a community college, it's now time to transfer to a 4-year university, but you're going to be very careful on which universities you apply to or try and transfer to. Now, if you're a Fthea Kappa member, many universities will automatically give you a transfer scholarship when you enroll. So, for example, Texas&M will give you a $2,000 to $5,000 scholarship if you enroll as a PTK transfer student. Another example is University of Alabama. They're going to give you like a $6,000 per year scholarship for being a fight in a capper member. Another one is Arizona State University, which can give you an automatic $5 to $10,000 scholarship simply for being a five the Kappa member. And my best example is the University of Rochester. They gave me I believe like $4,000 per semester for being a five the Kapper member. So, as you can see, there's a lot of money to be given to you as an international student if you join FTHEA Kappa. Now, the beautiful thing about all of this is that most of these universities don't even require an extra application. If you're simply a FTHEA Kappa member, you automatically get these scholarships, which is awesome. So, let's actually break this down with real numbers so that you can see how much money this strategy will save you. So, for scenario one, let's say you go straight to a 4-year institution as an international student. If you go to that four-year institution, most likely you'll be paying something like $40,000 per year in tuition. And if you multiply that by four years, then you will be paying over $160,000 in tuition alone to attend that 4-year university. Now, for scenario two, let's say you attend community college first and then you transfer to a government institution or a government 4-year school. Now, basically what that means is that you're going to have 2 years at community college, which will cost you around $8,000 per year in tuition. And that will mean that over the lifetime of 2 years, you'll be paying around $16,000 in tuition for your two-year college. Now, what happens is after your two-year college, you're going to transfer to a 4-year public school. And basically, because you're a Fthea Kappa member, you're going to get a scholarship. So, it could be something like $2,000 scholarship. And because of this $2,000 scholarship that you get through five, the Kappa, you will actually pay instate tuition. And instate tuition is far less than outofstate tuition. So, I actually created a video that I'm going to link up here somewhere whereby you can learn more about instate tuition. And what will happen is you'll be paying something like $13,000 per year minus $2,000 scholarship. So, you can think of it as you'll be paying $11,000 in tuition per year. Now, over the lifetime or over 2 years, that's basically something like $22,000. Now, as you can see, that will save you over $100,000, which is quite significant. And that's why starting at a community college first, then joining FTHEA Kapper and then transferring is the smartest way for international students to get an affordable United States degree. Now having said that I actually want to give you three more tips. So the first tip I want to give you is that you should research FTHEA Kappa friendly universities. So not all community colleges and universities offer FTHEA Kappa scholarships. So what you need to do is you need to check their website or contact admissions before applying. The second pro tip I want to give you is you need to maintain a strong GPA at community college. So some FTE Kappa scholarships require a 3.5 or higher GPA. So you have to make sure that you stay on top of your academics because even if you do get that five kappa scholarship then there are also requirements for you to be maintaining a strong GPA while you have that scholarship. Now the third pro tip that I want to give you is apply for additional scholarships too. So even though many FTHEA cap scholarships are automatic, you can still stack them with other scholarships to reduce your costs even more. So even though you get one FTEA Kappa scholarship, it doesn't mean that you cannot get more scholarships from different places. So as you can see, following this strategy will help you get a guaranteed scholarship as an international student and this will also help you save a ton of money. Now, having said that, if you found this video helpful, then smash the like button, subscribe, and turn on your notifications so that you don't miss any more of the tips that I'm going to be bringing in the future. Thank you so much for watching, and I'll be seeing you in the next video.
