Don't Be Humble: Apply to Ivy League Schools as an International Student

so if you're someone who's thinking about studying in America do not be humble and what I mean by that is apply to the best schools in America and do not think that you will not get in the reason why I say this is because lots of students disqualify themselves before ever even attempting to do the impossible and yes it is the impossible but if you never apply to these big schools you will never get accepted to them so instead what you need to do is you need to apply to some of the best schools just in case you do have that application that turns their head um again I've seen lots of students not apply because they don't think they qualified enough but the truth is these schools are looking for specific things and sometimes you already have that specific thing they looking for but you just disqualified yourself which doesn't make sense so I myself I'll give you guys this as an example when I started my academic journey in America I didn't apply to any of the big schools because I didn't think I was going to get in so I didn't think I was gonna get in instead what I did is I went to community college first which is a great ha ha great path there's nothing wrong with going to community college first so I went to community college first and then only once I graduated I actually started applying to the bigger schools and I got accepted to many of those big schools that I didn't think I was qualified for I actually got accepted to them in fact later on in my academic journey when I was applying to graduate school I actually got accepted to a bunch of Ivy League schools so that's my point if you don't think you qualify for one of these schools still apply still apply it doesn't matter the worst thing they could do is reject you now some people are gonna say yeah but applying cost money well it does in certain cases so what you can do is actually look for application fee waivers so many universities have them and what you just need to do is apply to them so do that apply for those application waivers and you'll be able to apply to lots of schools so do that definitely do that do not disqualify yourself apply to those schools anyway
