Common App Requirements for International Students (Part 7)

Study in America for free part 7. Now, if you're new here, this is a series where I teach international students how they can come and study for free in America for their bachelor degrees. So in the last video, I had spoken about the English proficiency exam. In this video, I wanna talk about everything else that is required for you to be able to apply to schools in America. Now, you're going to be using the Common App in order to apply to many of these schools that I'm going to be sharing with you later on in this series. So you're going to be needing some essays in order to apply. Also, you are going to be needing letters of recommendations. Now, you'll be needing two types of letter of recommendations. The first type is going to be from your past teachers. Now, basically what's going to happen is you going to put in the email of your past instructor or teacher into the Common App. Then the Common App is going to actually send them an email asking them to create a profile on the Common App and then fill out some information about you. So they're going to be asking that teacher about your character, how you were in their class, and also asking them about whether they recommend you to come and study at their university or college. Now, you're going to usually need about two teachers to give you a letter of recommendation. In order for your application to be considered complete. Now, the next type is called a counselor letter of recommendation. So this recommendation is going to be based on who you are as a student, your character and also your academic ability compared to other students in your school. Now, this person can be the principal, vice principal, the head teacher or basically even a school official. It just has to be somebody who has access to the grades in the school and can talk about the school as a whole. Then the next things you're going to need are your transcripts, so basically your report cards. And the person who's going to be uploading this is going to be your counselor.
