Common App Guide: How International Students Apply for US Scholarships

Study in America for free, part 3. So in part 2, we spoke about the type of schools that you need to apply to if you're an international student that wants to get a full scholarship to come and study in America. Now, what I wanna do is actually talk about the application process itself. So in order to apply to schools in America for your bachelor's degree, you're going to actually be using this website called the Common App. Now, this website is basically a portal whereby you can apply to multiple schools at the same time. So how it works is you going to be creating an account on the Common App. Then what you will do is you going to fill out information about yourself. So this is going to be your basic information like your birth date, um, your name, uh, also which country you from. Then you gonna fill out some family information about your parents and your siblings. Then you also going to be filling out information about your education. So basically, which high school are you attending or you attended also, what classes did you take in that high school? Then you going to tell them about your test scores. Now, I'm going to get into this in the next video, so make sure you watching that. Then finally, you going to be talking about your hobbies and everything else that you doing outside of school. And you also going to have to Write an essay. Now, the essay is a way for you to tell the university and colleges what makes you distinct and why they should accept you. Now, all of this information here will be sent to the schools that you are applying to. And the beautiful thing about the Common App is there's another section in it where you going to be adding the schools that you want to apply to, and you can add up to 20 of them. So the Common App is how you going to be applying to the schools.
