Study in America for free part 4. Now, if you're new here, this is basically a series where I teach international students how they can come and study for free in the United States of America. Now, by international students, what I mean is these are individuals who are currently outside of the United States of America and they want to come and study in America for their degree. And in this series, I'm specifically talking about bachelor degrees. Now, having said that, in the last video we had spoken about the Common App, which is basically a way for you to apply to these schools in America. In the Common App, you can apply for up to 20 schools at a time. Now, the thing about applying to 20 schools is that it does cost a lot of money. This is because most schools have an application fee. So if you're applying to something like 20 schools, it could cost you over $1,000. However, there's a very cool trick in the Common App that you can use in order for you to apply to all the schools that you're applying to for free. There is actually a fee waiver that you can get from the Common App so that you don't have to pay any application fees when you're applying. Now, all you need to do to qualify for this fee waiver is by having a community leader or a school counsellor or a school official at your school. Basically, state That you need a fee waiver. Now, the Common App will be sending that individual an email so that they can confirm that you deserve a fee waiver. So make sure that it's somebody that you trust and that they know you and that they can confirm that you need that fee waiver. Now, there's another section in the Common App that speaks about the S A T. And other standardized tests. Now, the S A T. And these other standardized tests are ways for universities and colleges in America to test your math and English skills. Now, what I wanna say here is most schools in America that can give you a full scholarship are test optional. Meaning you don't need to take the S A T. Or the a C T. In order to apply to them. The only time you wanna take the S A T. Is if the school requires it or if your grades are very low. But what I'll do is I'm actually going to speak more about this in part 5. So make sure you join me over there as we keep on learning about the process of how you can get a full scholarship to come and study in America.
