Is America Safe for International Students? Media vs Reality

So many people will always tell me that America is not safe, it's not a good time to come to America, uh, simply because there are problems here with ice and politics and all of those type of things. And this is my message to those people and also my message to you. Listen, the news makes money. Based on what? I want you guys to actually ask yourself that question. How does the news make money? And once you ask yourself that question, then you going to start understanding why the news is portraying America the way it's portraying America. Because the news makes money off of fear, off of negativity, off of anger, off of emotions. And what they trying to do right now is they trying to divide the nation, divide people so that there's more emotions, so that there's more fear, so that they are relevant. And that's why the news does what the news does. It is going to show you the most negative aspects of any society.
